SERVE WITH A MINISTRY TEAM
We believe everyone is given a unique combination of spiritual gifts from God. We also believe that no one can do everything, but everyone can do something. We encourage everyone to be a part of a ministry team to use their gifts, talents, resources and passions to serve the Body of Christ and our community.
At Canal Street we believe that discipleship should start in the home. This team aims to equip parents and families to be the main spiritual leaders in the life of their children. We organize “rights of passage” for infant to 18 year olds, and supervise and facilitate the spiritual growth of those under 18 through Nursery, Children's Worship, and Youth Group.
We are focused on bringing women of all ages together for fellowship and growth in the Word. Our objective is to facilitate connections between women to encourage one another to glorify God.
Join us for fellowship, food and formation. Guy's Night happens about once a quarter.
WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRY
Our goal is to celebrate God and His work in our lives, while displaying Gospel unity during our services, as music, liturgy, and other creative elements seek to represent various cultural expressions of worship.
Our team consists of musicians, vocalists, techies, and other creatives.
Help us set up refreshments each Sunday and provide a warm welcome to visitors and members alike!
We think locally and globally. We coordinate team trips in the Gulf region and internationally, and we continually seek ways to help our church be mission-minded. We are focused on keeping the local church connected to missionaries around the world.
God has blessed us with a wonderful building for blessing the community! Help to wisely steward our building rooms and grounds. You will work with other teams to maintain upkeep of property. Organization, project management, and labor skills are great assets for this team.
The Mid-City Early Learning Center carries the mission of our church by creating an environment for young children where they are valued highly, their individuality is celebrated, their faith is fostered and their relationships are treasured.
THE RESTORATION INITIATIVE
The Restoration Initiative for Culture and Community (RICC) is our church's 501-c3 non-profit ministry. We engage our community through: after school programs, summer camp, urban missions training, biblical counseling & social work, educational seminars, financial literacy and job training.
